I've been racing Flying Scots for more than 10 years and I've been under the false impression that (1) you need the assistance of a power boat if your turtle your Flying Scot and (2) you need a towing bridal if you swamp your boat. Both of these assumptions were proven false on a recent visit to the Flying Scot factory in Maryland. Seeing is believing, so see for yourself. If there is enough wind to capsize your boat, chances are good you can sail your boat fast enough to bail your boat even when swamped. If you do get the help of a powerboat to help drain the the boat, you do not need a special towing bridal so long as your bow bag is properly inflated. Simply connect a tow rope and as shown in the video.

Great video to realize the importance of the bow floatation in the safety of the boat. I enjoyed this excellent video where I can learn how to handle turtling the boat without having to experience it first hand. Good video to review again and again.
